Peter Smith

Peter was the founder and Chief Executive of Wildwood Trust for 18 years and has been a leading proponent of rewilding for the last 30 years. He has worked across the world as an ecological consultant on some of the most groundbreaking habitat restoration projects.

Craig Sams

A well decorated and industry changing figure. He was the Co-founder of Whole Earth Foods, Green & Blacks, Carbon Gold Biochar and Gusto Organics. He was the ex chair of the Soil Association, and currently the Director of Duchy Originals, and the Director of the Soil Association. 

Ollie Hunter

Ollie is a consultant for sustainable food and hospitality. His pub won “Most Sustainable Business” (SRA) and “Best Organic Eat Out” (Soil Association), and his work as consultant also won “Most Sustainable Hotel” (Hotel Catey’s). He has written two books on sustainable food and lifestyle, and spoken on this subject on radio, tv, podcasts, festivals, discussion panels, and business forums.

Karen Burgess

Karen is a therapist, manager and lecturer in Systemic Psychotherapy for over 20 years in Social Care and the NHS. Her work promotes the idea that our mental health is improved by good relationships and community connection. In a personal level this has led her to being an advocate for improving mental health through nature and growing. She is a host for WWOOF (World Wide organisation for Organic Farms) educating and supporting volunteers. 

Tim Jury

Tim has farmed the Marsham Valley catchment all of his life as well as the Pannel Valley. He has been practising regenerative farming having questioned the direction of conventional farming, which puts an emphasis on the life and biology of the soil, creating a less stressful food production as well as mitigate environmental issues like flooding.

Their design methodology, Conscious Landscape Design, goes beyond the notion of sustainability by focusing on the regenerative potential of any given land-based project.

Barry Yates

Barry is an Ecologist (BSC, PhD) and was the Manager of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (ESCC and Sussex Wildlife Trust) for almost 40 years. As a nature project is has achieved some incredible highlights and is one of the most exciting places in Britain for birds. He is currently an ecologist for The Wetland Trust, and has written several books on the wildlife at Rye Harbour.

Andrew Dinsdale

Strandliners’ Executive Director, Andy Dinsdale has been leading riverbank and beach cleans since 2004 and regularly represents the organisation at national and international marine conservation conferences.
